Research

Research is new to universities of applied sciences. It is explicitly included as our new task in the revised Higher Education and Research Act (WHOO), and is aimed at creating novel knowledge for the benefit of professional practice.

The research task is allocated to research centres, in which research groups combine their forces to work on joint assignments. They link investigation, education and professional practice within a selected research domain in order to acquire new, usable knowledge.

The domain of the Research Centre for Innovation and Business, or simply InnBus, comprises the business aspects of innovation. It focuses on financial business services, ICT, cure and care, and the creative industry.
